How long a US passport can just stay
Days on arrival before any extension or paperwork. Mexico, Canada, the UK and Costa Rica give 180; Myanmar gives 28.
Green is 90 days or more, amber 45–89, red under 45. Bars are the stay you get on arrival, before any extension.

Where this is wrong
- US passport only. Every other nationality has its own table.
- Four markets are excluded because their published rule does not reduce to one number — "90-183 days" is neither 90 nor 183, so it is dropped rather than guessed.
- Rules stated in months are converted at 30 days.
- This is the stay on arrival. Extensions, visa runs and long-stay visas all change it.

Each market's full entry rules are on its country deep-dive.
See the full entry rules per market →
Each deep-dive carries the extension, the annual cap and the long-stay route, not just the days on arrival.
The per-market deep-dives — 13 tabs of cost, visa, tax, safety and sub-national ratio for one country — are behind the Pro gate. Everything on this page is not.
