Geomaxxing (also spelled geomaxing or geo maxxing) is geographic arbitrage applied to dating: instead of changing yourself, you move somewhere your existing traits are worth more.
Rigged and unrigged markets
Your value on the dating market isn’t a fixed number you carry around. It is relative to what is locally scarce. The same man who is nothing special in one city can be a genuine catch 3,000 miles away, without changing a single thing about himself.
A rigged market is one where the local numbers are stacked against you: a city running heavily male, a generation with a shrinking birth rate, so your age bracket is competing over what little remains, an income that only reads as average in the local currency, a majority ethnicity that makes your look unremarkable, or a beauty standard that doesn’t include features you have. Measured: Dubai, United Arab Emirates reads 208.9 men per 100 women aged 20–39. That is a national figure; the market publishes no city split.
An unrigged market flips all of that: a young, female-skewed population in your age range, an economy where your paycheck goes further, a culture where your height, build or coloring reads as interesting rather than the norm, and a dating pool where being foreign is a novelty instead of a red flag. Measured: Hanoi, Vietnam reads 94.3 at province level.
At the national level, the male-to-female ratio is narrower: across 134 countries, 82.7 (Nepal) to 205.2 (Maldives), from national census counts. Identifying where women exceed men in that age band yields a very different list of locations.
Read one market’s pyramid
Two of the inputs above are measurable: the shape of the age pyramid and the sex ratio inside a target age band. This is Vietnam’s, from its own census. Switch the area and the same country gives a different answer: nationally there are more men than women at 20–39, in Hanoi there are more women. A country figure is not a market figure.
